Green Hare Candle Care

This is not a blog, nor is it a lecture, but it is safety and care advice for your candles and especially for you.

  • Never leave your burning candle unattended.
  • Keep your burning candle out of the reach of little hands and pets.
  • Never place your candle near or under objects.
  • Use a heat resistant base to set your candle on and ensure your surface is stable.
  • Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at any given time.
  • Trim the wick of your candle down to approximately 5mm before lighting.
  • Remove any debris from around the candle.
  • Keep your candle out of draughty environments.
  • Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of its container on the first burn and subsequent burns if possible.
  • Never reposition your candle when lit or when the wax is liquid.
  • Use a candle snuffer to extinguish your flame.
  • Never burn your candle to the base of it’s container.

The above safety points are to ensure your protection and those around you.

The candle care helps you to get the most out of your candle. Trimming the wick prevents the flame from rising too high, smoking or flickering. Allowing the wax to melt to the edge of the container prevents tunnelling and maximises your candle’s life. Using a candle snuffer prevents hot wax from splattering.
